TOFC U18 Girls vs Mountain United FC

Final Score: 2 - 2 tie

First Half Scoring/Highlights
TOFC opened the scoring 20 minutes in to go up 1-0 on a 3 way passing play with Kindra Maricle (Kamloops) forwarding a pass to Alana Hazell (Kelowna) who chipped it up to striker Kyra-Rae Horvath (Coldstream). Horvath beat her defender and powered a left footed shot past the Mountain keeper. TOFC controlled most of the 1st half and finished with a 1-0 lead.

 Second Half:
Mountain came out far stronger in the 2nd half and had TOFC on their heels for most of the half. Mountain scored an early equalizer and then went up 2-1 with a great individual effort by their 6 ft tall mid-fielder. TOFC equalized the game on a very late, disputed goal that hit the crossbar and was the subject of a long discussion between the referee and linesman before finally being declared a goal. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Other Game Highlights
Halle Stewart (Kelowna) had a strong game defensively for TOFC.

TOFC U18 Girls vs Coquitlam Metro Ford

Final Score: 3 - 2 for TOFC

First Half Scoring/Highlights
TOFC opened the scoring 20 minutes in by Hailey Lakovic (W Kelowna) on a great cross from Mary Bennett (Vernon).  Not long after, Coquitlam popped one in from a scramble in fron of the net to tie the game at 1 a piece.  TOFC got their 2nd goal from Kira-Rae Horvath (Coldstream) just after being subbed in at the 35 minute mark.  Coral Deleff (Vernon) put the ball back in the centre after being cleared from Coquitlam.  The goalie made a good save but the ball became loose and Horvath buried it in the back of the net.

Second Half:
The 2nd half was much tighter.  Both teams had several opportunities including 2 cross bars from TOFC.  The game became tied after Coquitlam's forward pulled the ball across her body and nailed a left footed shot to the tp left corner 30 minutes into the 2nd half.  It remained that way until the last 2 minutes when a TOFC player was taken down at the 25 yard line.  Maddy Robak (Kelowna) made no mistake on the free kick as she picked the top left corner making it a 3-2 win for TOFC.

Other Game Highlights
Devon Weaden, (Kelowna) having never played stopper before, had a fantastic game in that position for TOFC.
