ODP NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

The following information has been condensed from communication sent to the club by Kate Thibault,  United Soccer Leagues,  Director, Youth League Operations & ODP

Selections have been finalized and the nominations have been made public on the USL website. The letters will be mailed out to each of the chosen players next week. If you are chosen and do not receive your letter shortly, please advise and we will follow up.  Below is a link that has just been released on the USL website with the lists of selected players by calendar year.

2011 SYL ODP Select Player Lists

The ODP National Camps will be at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida on the following dates:

February 24 -2 7, 2011 – 1994/95 Boys and 1996/97 Boys

March 3 - 6, 2011 – 1994/95 Girls and 1996/97 Girls

Please take the time to review the ODP National Camp details on the USL website: www.superyleague.com. We strongly encourage all players to begin research on their travel arrangements and all additional concerns prior to completing their registration at the 2011 SYL ODP National Camp Details and Registration website. Registration must be completed before Monday, December 20th, 2010.  Spots are limited and are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis and after the registration deadline a player’s spot will not be guaranteed.   Please be sure to register immediately. In addition, if a player is unable to attend they will need to contact Kate Thibault to decline their nomination at 813-269-1346 or kate.thibault@uslsoccer.com.  All questions that are not addressed on the USL website should also be directed to Kate Thibault at the above points of contact. Participants will be receiving a comprehensive registration packet in January, which will provide a detailed itinerary of the ODP National Camp program and will further explain the exciting process of attending camp.

In addition, the 1992/1993 selected players will also be mailed nomination letters. While there will not be an in-person camp for this age bracket, the selections list will be distributed to more than 1000 college coaches in an effort to increase scouting. The ODP Staff works with US National Scouts, outstanding college coaches, and professional coaches to promote the growth and development of all the players selected for the ODP program. The list of selections will be distributed in the coming weeks to those groups. Details for the 1992/1993 National Select Players can be found at www.superyleague.com and under the ODP section.
