Head of International Youth Soccer Development visits Kelowna

Chelsea FC's Jeff Bookman will be visiting Kelowna this week to work with Kelowna United and TOFC Technical Staff and Coaches. Jeff will be visiting Kelowna 3 or 4 times a year to provide his expertise on building  a Youth Development Academy based on the successful Chelsea model.   He will be working closely with both of our Technical Directors, Dante Zanatta and Shaun Flanagan to provide coaching education opportunities for KU and TOFC coaches.  Jeff is also a founding member and director of the very popular coach and player development resource www.Insidesoccer.com.  This resource will be a key tool for KU and TOFC coaches as KU's relationship with Jeff continues to grow.  This relationship has provided a wonderful opportunity for our Technical Staff.   Later this year, both KU and TOFC Technical Staff will attend the Chelsea Coaching Development Academy at the home of Chelsea FC in the UK. 

Jeff will be back in Kelowna again in late April to hold meetings with KU and TOFC coaches and our local COYSA clubs.

There will be more exciting developments announced shortly as we grow our relationship with Jeff and Inside Soccer.  This is a very positive step forward, not only for Kelowna United and TOFC, but for Soccer in the Thompson Okanagan.   See Jeff's bio here
